How to Access jokaydiaGRID

To access jokaydiaGRID you’ll need to complete the following steps:

Step 1: Sign Up for an Account

To get started, you’ll need to signup for an account at jokaydiaGRID. Accounts at jokaydiaGRID are FREE!

To signup:

•  Click here to access the signup form.
 
•  You’ll be asked to choose an avatar name and a default avatar.
 
•  Make a note of your new Avatar Name and Password.

Step 2: Install and Configure Your Viewer

To access opensim grids you will need to install viewer software, which allows you to login and use your avatar inworld. There are two options for installing and configuring your viewer:

Option 1: Download and install an Opensim Viewer

We recommend the following options:

•  Imprudence 1.3.0 (Windows, Linux, Mac)
 
•  Hippo OpenSim Viewer v0.6.3 (Windows, Linux)
 
•  Phoenix Viewer 1.5.2.818 (Windows, Linux, Mac)

Note: You can also experiment with using the SL Viewer 1.23 . Click here for instructions on how to configure SL Viewer 1.23 to access jokaydiaGRID.

After you have installed your preferred viewer, you will need to configure it to access jokaydiaGRID.

• Click on the Grid Manager Button in the Viewer
 
• On the pop-up window, click the GRIDS tab
 
•  At the top of the box, click ADD
 
•  For LOGIN URI enter: http://jokaydia.metaverseworlds.com:8002/
 
•  Click Get Grid Info
 
•  Click Apply
 
• Click the DEFAULT button at the top of the box
 
• Click the OK button
•  You’re now ready to enter your user name and password!

Option 2: Use the jokaydiaGRID Configurator

The jokaydiaGRID Configurator is a small application which will download and configure the Hippo viewer for use at jokaydiaGRID. This tool is handy for users who havent previously installed a viewer and is a simple process.

•  Click here to access the jokaydiaGRID Configurator for Windows and click the ‘Run’ button to get started
 
•  Click here to download the the jokaydiaGRID Configurator for Mac. Run the file to get started.  

Step 3: Login to jokaydiaGRID

After you have logged in you can start exploring the grid. Simple type in your username and password and login to start the adventure!
